The competition involved the proposal to insert a vertical connective body in a prestigious historical context such as that of the Torrione degli Spagnoli in Carpi. We believe it is essential for an intervention in a historical context not to be cumbersome. This is the reason for the appearance in the courtyard of Palazzo dei Pio of a light Cloud, skilfully woven onto the wood. A CLT structure contains the system of paths designed to vertically move the users of the museum rooms associated with some panoramic rest areas and covered with a drape of high tech fabric that identifies it spatially, lightens it perceptually and makes it a Landmark that does not overwhelm the Torrione. Positioned well away from the historic building, it is connected to it via spectacular closed bridges, completely glazed on the sides, from which you can enjoy the evocative scenery of the Courtyard of the Steles, the new garden and, obviously, the cloud itself. They intercept the three floors to be served in the positions that generate the lowest possible material “cost” for the Tower.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Il concorso prevedeva la proposta di inserimento di un corpo connettivo verticale in un contesto storico di pregio come quello del Torrione degli Spagnoli di Carpi. Riteniamo fondamentale, per un intervento in ambito storico, il non essere ingombrante. Ecco la ragione della comparsa nel cortile di Palazzo dei Pio una leggera Nuvola, abilmente intessuta sul legno. Una struttura in CLT contiene il sistema di percorsi atto a spostare verticalmente i fruitori delle sale museali associato ad alcune aree di sosta panoramiche e rivestito da un drappo di tessuto high tech che lo identifica spazialmente, lo alleggerisce percettivamente e lo rende un Landmark che non prevarica sul Torrione. Posizionato ben distante dall\u2019edificio storico, viene collegato ad esso mediante degli spettacolari ponticelli chiusi, completamente vetrati sui lati, dai quali si potranno godere suggestivi scenari del Cortile delle Stele, del nuovo giardino e, ovviamente della nuvola stessa. Essi intercettano i tre piani da servire nelle posizioni che generano il minor \u201ccosto\u201d materico possibile per il Torrione.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
